Advantages: Some real bargains to be found
Disadvantages: Some terrible low quality items, barely worth the pound
Everyone can grab a bargain at Poundland, there is something for everyone young or old, after household or toys, even underwear you will get a bargain as everything is as the name employ's only a pound. Saying that you still get some top name brands too like Johnson's, Herbal Essences, flash that sort of thing.
They have several sections and always starting with toiletry's and hair care, also medical supplies like paracetamol, plaster's and vitamins. Other sections include household with cleaning products and cloths, black bags and air fresheners to ornaments and picture frames, batteries and food stuff. Are only paying a pound and I would say more than half They have a kitchen and cooking section with chopping boards, cups, pans, utensils and cutlery.
They have a toy section and a craft section too. Also a pet section with mostly treats and toys and then a car and diy assortment that seems to vary from week to week.
The last section is as in most cheap shops is crisp's and sweets of which they have really cheap ones and also brands too.
However when all said and done you are only paying a pound and so the quality is lacking, I would say over half the products are below average in general. The staff are never enthusiastic and its clear why , the shop is always untidy and always has huge queue's so there work is never done.
So for all the rubbish you can buy from pound land you can still guarantee a bargain or 19 so its worth the effort of the long queue's and dull staff.
Summary: Cheap shop with some named brands at a steal
