Advantages: You know the price, wide range

Disadvantages: Hit and miss what they have in at any one time

It's a very simple business model- everything is £1. For many items that is an absolute bargain, for a fair few they are not worth £1! Having said that I love the shop.

I've been to several Poundlands and have found all of the stores to be well maintained. The stores offer all sorts- from many branded toiletries and household items such as washing up liquid and bathroom cleaner to kitchen items and DIY tools.

There are a few things that I think Poundland is absolutely tip top value for and these are as follows- jiffy bags and envelopes (great if you are an eBay seller), shampoo and conditioner, branded cleaning products and batteries. I've also picked up some great value multi-packs of chocolate bars and crisps, perfect for my hubby's lunch box.

If you are watching the pennies, or if you just like a bargain then I highly recommend checking out your local Poundland and seeing waht everyday items you can pick up at much lower prices than you would find at your local supermarket.

Summary: Worth a look if you like a bargain.
