Advantages: Cheap, lots of different departments

Poundland is a store that sells everything for, yes you have guessed it, £1!

So, what is there to like about poundland?
Poundland is a cheap store, which sells lots of different types of items, such as home, gardening, food (mainly just snacks and treats though, not so much actual meals), tools, toys, the list goes on!
Great things about poundland are that sometimes they sell exactly the same product as other stores, but at a lower price. For example, one time i saw a bottle of mouthwash called Dentyl in poundland, whereas in boots, just a 5 minute walk away, they were being sold at around £1.80!
Poundland is really useful when you want to use something once, for example, if you need a screwdriver, but wont be likely to use it again after the task in mind, get it from poundland!
There are some truly great bargains, my favourite buy from a poundland store was a pair of mini speakers, and 2 mulit tap usb thingies for £3! And they all work fine, even to this day! That, or 200g of swiss chocolate! I brought around 3Kg of truly amazing chocolate that day! But sadly they have not restocked them :(

What is there not to like about poundland?
Now obviously, as things only cost a pound, the quality of a lot of the items in there is not great. However, for items such as toys, this is not really a problem, as kids end up growing out of, and breaking toys anyway, but for things such as videos, the videos there as so old. Normally you can tell which items are a bit dodgey by the plastic they are made out of, after a fe trips to poundland, you will know which products to avoid.
Another slight problem is that some of the items they sell, actually are more expensive than elsewhere. You may be thinking what i am on about, but for example, a 5 pack of cadburies chocolate, at a pound? I have seen cheaper in tesco and morrisons.
