If you have never been to a Poundland then you are missing out. There aren't many in my home town, just one, in an area that we don't visit much however when we do, Poundland is definitely on the agenda and always worth a visit as we never come out empty handed.
Poundland as it says in the name, sells everything in the store for... yes you got it...just a pound and you can pick up quite a few bargains in there on items that you would pay a great deal more for in supermarkets or stores that sell the same items.
It doesn't specialise in just one product, the sell a whole range of things, the stores are not very big so you will be surprised by how much they do actually sell and what will be of use to you.
All stores contain a toiletries and cleaning section, where you can obtain all your necessaries incuding soap, shampoo, condititioner and toothpaste, plus much more, and also all the cleaning products that you would require to keep you house clean.
They have a seasonal section which at the moment contains gardening equipment, plants and other garden accessories and ornaments. IN this section, it also contains items that you would require when entertaining in your garden and for all you needs when having a barbecue. They also have a small section that looks after camping accessories which are great when keen campers like ourselves.
Car accessories and tools cover one aisle, air freshener, wind screen wiper, and various tools including hammers, screwdrivers and the lower cost items of tools.
The final aisle is dedicated to childrens toys and food. Where the toys are cheap, they are good as stocking fillers for kids and to keep them amused. All the food which is available is branded and sometimes sold for 2 for £1.
Overall in this climate it is a great shop if you need to get a few bits and pieces and you always wonder how they make there money. It's quite simple as some items are priced a little high, for instance you can get them from Wilkinson etc cheaper, so when it there it makes you think that you are getting a good deal, but when you think about it on some items, you are actally paying over the odds and by doing it the potential savings kind of break even.
I have however picked up some bragains in here and don't get to carried away. Great shop that I used to pass by and never go in, now I can never go to the town without going to have a look.
