Advantages: cheap things

Disadvantages: some things cheap made and shoddy

Now I am not a cheapskate, but it is always great to get more for your money than you expect, and this shop is good for this reason.

As far back as I can remember there has been a Poundstretcher shop in the next town to me. Also there are 2 other stores in the next 2 nearest towns.

I admit when I was growing up you were always slagged off by the other kids if you shopped here, but that's just kids stuff. The shop has loads of useful items in it.

You can get clothes, beauty products, videos, blank videos, audio tapes, cds, sweets, household products, christmas things (obviously at christmas), kids toys, stationary, cards and so on.

I admit there are some cheap, badly made things in here, but there are plenty of worthwhile bargins to pick up.

For the last 2 years, at christmas they have sold 6 Mitsubishi 3 hour blank videos for £5. I think this brand of tapes are great, so I always stock up on them.

Also around this time of year they start to sell their christmas sweets and biscuits. Most of them are the same things that are in the other shops, but £1 or that cheaper.

The beauty products are certainly cheaper than the other shops are well. Even if it is only 50p off something or other, it is better in your pocket than theirs.

The shops are spacious, but full of bargains and you should have a look!
