I wrote a review on Monday about Tesco opticians and sang their praises over the service and price etc. I actually picked up my spectacles last night and noticed on here that there was a category for prescription glasses, so here's my review of them and glasses in general. I had my first pair of prescription glasses over 20 years ago ... Read the complete review

I'm as blind as a bat and have astigmatism to boot (I really am blind, minus nine!). I wear contact lenses but have found that I am a little less able to tolerate them so have been wearing glasses a bit more. Because I have such a high prescription, I have to have the lenses thinned and am a bit restricted as to what frames I can have. I don't ... Read the complete review

Don't touch Wantglasses!!!!!
Placed order on 31st March 2009, it is now 6th May and they still haven't been delivered!
After several (unanswered) emails and several (unhelpful) phone calls, I have approached consumer direct for their help.
The customer service team don't seem to have a clue what they are doing. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!!

Bought Prescription Sunglasses, they are good quality, look good, do the job, arrived in about 4 days, are inexpensive and I've now ordered a pair of half frames from them. Give Glasses Direct a try. The glasses I purchased two years ago from a large supermarket chain opticians were my favourites so when one of the arms snapped I took them back to be repaired. I was told this was not possible as the frames were no longer from their current range. I was not happy about this, but even after speaking to the manager I was told the glasses could ...
