Price-Drop TVNewest Review: ... channel owned by sit up ltd. Instead of selling things at a certain price, the item starts at a certain price and gets lower gradually until all items are sold. I think the programme adds a lot of sneaky charges onto the price and this makes the thing a lot more expensive than you would first think you are paying. It costs £1.50 to phone up to buy the item and postage can cost anything ... more |

I have watched Price Drop tv for a few years and have only ever bought a couple of things from it. I think i enjoy watching it more than actually buying things from it lol. There are sometimes some quite good bargains to be had but i think the postage costs can sometimes be quite high. If you have never seen Price Drop tv, it is a shopping channel owned by sit up ltd. Price Drop TV is a shopping channel part of the Sit Up Group, which is also made up of Bid Up TV & Speed Auction TV. All three of these channels are available on digital satellite & cable, whilst only Price Drop & Bid Up are available on Freeview. Price Drop offers the facility to shop at the convienience of your sofa and they give you the impression that great value is being offered on their products. They have a starting price which keeps dropping until the quantity available is all sold. However this starting price is hugely inflated so you even though you are given the impression you're saving loads on this starting price, this is highely ... Read the complete review

Price Drop Tv, Speed Auction Tv and Bid Tv, whichever you choose they're all part of the sit-up group and many of their presenters keep swapping channels. However you look at it, these channels to some offer the only practical method of shopping and they do offer a range of products, but those damed egyptian cotton towels and the emense amount of jewellery (that almost always needs resizing) are not as good as they seem. For my former wife, she would spend hour upon hour watching this trio of annoying channels, and I kept a box file of all the products she'd bought. I couldn't believe the fact there was more than 300 invoices over the 3 years she'd ... Read the complete review

Bought a steam mop and after 3 weeks it developed a fault, spent £s and hours on the phone to their call centre. Arranged a collection, took a day off work waited and waited and waited. Phoned call centre after 11 hour wait to be told the courier had tried to collect the item but no one was in!!!! They told me to send it back by post and send the receipt of postage to them for repayment. But if the courier turns up? the one who hadn't been earlier, phone and let them know, I don't think so. Steer clear, no customer service. Order ref 000056296235

I have shopped at PriceDrop/BidUp TV for quite a while now. using both the telephone and the internet. I have managed to get some quality products at a good price even taking into account the steep delivery charges for smaller items and the premium rate phone call to place the order. However, when an item is not in fact delivered I found the customer service to be extremely poor. I have telephoned Customer Services on a number of occasions (expensive 0870 number), e mailed Customer Services on a number of occasions and even sent a recorded delivery letter. Three months on, I am still awaiting a reply. At present, I am reliant on the credit card company for a refund for ... Read the complete review
