Advantages: high fashion, extraordinarily cheap, often good quality - a retail phenomenen
Disadvantages: none except there's not one in my town!!!!
Well I can't believe it! Finally my best kept secret has spread to the rest of the UK. Though to be fair, it was never a secret for me. I was never embarrassed to shop in Primark, didn't care that my friends bought their clothes from more expensive shops and was proud to let everyone know what a bargain my clothes were. If anyone snootily laughed at my obsession with Primark- more fool them (these are the friends that would then sneakily grab a few bargains from Primark but not advertise the fact - hiding their 'guilty' secret.
In fact have got the majority of my wardrobe there since 1990 - that's 15 years now. Ever since the over-priced, over-rated frumpy store that is M&S vacated the premises through lack of profits.
Over the years, have got too many bargains to list but each time it has been something that is a fraction of the price compared to other stores - and in this day and age with dwindling salaries - who can afford to resist?
My recent bargains have included a Russian inspired gilet for the absurdly low price of £6 - which loads of people have commented on. Last year I got a wonderful leather tan pair of boots for £35 - far better than shops that sell the same for three times the price. To tell you the truth have not shopped in Primark for nearly 2 months now (as I live in the Lake District) but am going down south tomorrow for a Primark fest!
The clothes are high fashion, low maintenance pieces. Primark stocks staples such as long sleeved tops, t shirts in a choice of colours and jeans that can be easily combined with some high fashion tops, shoes and something from their massive range of accessories - a belt and some jewellery. I am after one of the new waisted belts which I understand Primark are selling for £4 - beat that Top Shop! I can't wait - in fact most of my wardrobe is totally made up from Primark.
I love it - Primark is heaven. People are fools not to shop there.
Summary: Who needs Prada - when you've got Primark?
