Advantages: styles, price
Disadvantages: busy, hot, long queues
whether or not you doubt primarks claims that it can make cheap clothing, ethically, you cant deny that primark is one the greatest revolutions in high street shopping.
it has come on leaps and bounds since i first shopped their just for some cheap socks! i will now go into topman or debenhams, find something i like, then go and pick up something similar in primark for half the price! years ago you couldnt do that, but primarks styles and ranges now pride themselves on creating designer looks for a fraction of the price.
arguably the menswear dept has less choice and i am yet to see a £1 rack similar to those that always exist in womenswear. but as a bloke i probable buy something in primark, from underwear to shirts and jeans, at least once a month.
they have some great styles. the other month i got some jeans for half the price i was about to pay at topman, some funky boxers, again half the price, a couple of summer vests, half the price, and a cheap but perfectly suitable suit.
ok some items are a bit naff and i would prefer spending a little bit more for something that fits better, but in general you cant go wrong.
problems with the shop are that its always so busy, there is no air con and standing in a long queue gets uncomfortable. oh and even though its cheap, you always spend more than you intended. primark knows how to get you in the door and then tempt you some more.
Summary: a high street revolution
