Advantages: Great value clothes, latest fashions, also sells household items
Disadvantages: Shops always busy, bit like a jumble sale at time
Primark or Primarni as me and my friends like to call it is a great value clothes shop and perfect for those who don't have a lot of cash to spend on clothes but want to look fashionable too.
The Primark in my town opened around one year ago, it was such a big event that it had a local radio station covering the event and the front of the store was heaving with people trying to get in for roughly the first week of opening. Which tells you something about my town.....
I like Primark butI have to be in the right frame of mind to go in it, I won't go on weekends unless i manage to get into town by 9am as otherwise its really busy and I am not a huge shopping fan so having to fight people to get to look at things is not my idea of fun.
I also find you have to look hard to find the really nice stuff, for me anyway, I am not really into the latest fashions, I like to look nice but I need to be comfortable so i need the store to be empty to find the right kind of items for me.
I was most impressed with Primark just before I went on holiday this year, I managed to get about 15 items for £50 including going out tops, shorts, bikinis and t-shirts and vests.
I have brought a lot of work clothes in the shop too since it opened, I have a few of the Basic range t-shirts they do which were all £2 each but smart enough for me to wear to work and at the moment I am wearing Primark cardigans to work as well which cost me £8 each.
I also have some £1 vest tops, even if they do fall apart I really don't care because it cost me £1!
The handbag that i currently use is from the shop too and cost me £5 but i have been using it for several months everyday and it shows no sign of falling apart.
All of the clothes i have brought are still in good condition although some of the cheap wool jumpers for £4/£5 i brought have shrunk a little, i have brought some of the more expensive ones, £9 or £10 and they are better quality.
I cannot buy jeans or trousers in there though as they only have them in regular and i need petite clothes so wish they did the trousers in various lengths.
I have also brought duvet sets, pillows and bath towels from here and they are great value, my pillows are lovely and thick still from when I first put them on my bed 6 months ago.
Whatever you need be it jogging bottoms to laze around in or a dress to hit the town in you can be sure to find it at Primark and at a reasonable price, I will be shopping here for a long time!
Summary: A value for money clothes retailer.
