Advantages: Great for those on a budget. Can get the rare awesome buy. Great for socks, slippers & PJs.

Disadvantages: Quality isn't great.

Primark: essentially it's a glorified jumble sale, and yet the British public just love it. Sometimes I wonder why, and other times it's as clear as day.

Upon arriving in a Primark store you're more than likely going to want to turn right around and walk straight back out of it again. The clothes are all over the place, there's a serious lack of organisation, and it's the only shop where you'll see grown adults fighting over a £2 t-shirt in the most irrational fashion. However, perseverance is the key. (Or go in before lunchtime on the day that their delivery comes in. It's the tidiest shop ever and usually quiet! Does not apply to school holidays.)

Primark stocks all manner of clothes and accessories for men, women and children. It also stocks some homewares dependent on store size. Their clothes are cheap, ranging from £1 to £10-15, and although not the best quality you can find some bargains. And at the prices in Primark, sometimes it's worth it. Especially if you need something like pyjamas, t-shirts for decorating, or some track suit bottoms for slobbing around in on a Sunday afternoon!

Primark stocks a massive range of accessories which I feel is great. Why pay £6 for a plastic beaded necklace in Claire's when you can get it for £1.50 in Primark and it be just as good? You can get shoes for reasonably low prices too, I especially like the ballet-style flat shoes for £3, as even the expensive versions of these seem to last a short amount of time so why pay through the nose when you can get several pairs in Primark for the price of one pair somewhere else?

Primark is great for kids clothes too. Kids grow out of clothes faster than you can blink, so is it really worth kitting them out in designer gear, or other high-street clothes, when you can get them some simple outfits in Primark, and it doesn't matter if they grow out of them in 5 minutes or get them grubby in the playground.

Finally: FANCY DRESS = trip to Primark. Why buy expensive outfits when you can do some customising and use stuff from Primark that'll cost you no more than £5?

Primark is great for those on a budget. If you're not worried about quality and want products that'll do their job without costing the earth then Primark should be your first stop!

Summary: Great for those on a budget, and clothes you'd never leave the house in.

They're very good for underwear, cheap but not good for my style of clothing. Brill review. Kirsty. x
