Yes, another high street shop review, are you ready for it? Welcome to Primark! It's one of my favourite bargain stores and I always go there if I need some cheap, trendy clothes.
The local Primark, here in Aberdeen, recently moved onto the main street in the centre of town. It used to be in the main shopping centre but was quite small and not very easy to find your way around. The new Primark has 3 floors, the ground floor, the 1st floor and then the bottom floor, which is underground. Everything in store is very easy to find, it just gets frustrating that it becomes so busy and crowded.
As soon as you enter Primark (from the outdoor entrance), you are met with a warm breeze of air coming from the air vents, how nice after a long day of wandering around the freezing cold. The store is so huge that you can't even see the back wall from the front door (or maybe it's to do with the escalators half way through the store blocking your view), but yes, there really is no describing how huge this shop is. On the first floor (which is the main floor), you find all of the womens clothing, jewelry, bags and make-up. Each of these things are scattered all throughout the shop, but scattered in a way that's easy to find. Half way through the store, on the left hand side, there is around 10 tills, I've only ever seen around 6 people manning them at one time though. The customer lifts are right next to these tills. At the very rear of the store is the fitting rooms, there are around 20 large changing cubicles, they're very clean and private, better than fitting rooms in some major stores.
As you head upstairs, you are met with underwear, pyjamas, swimwear and more tills and lifts. The pyjamas are situated at the very front of the floor, with the basic underwear and shapewear to your right. At the rear, right hand side, is the sexy lingerie and matching sets. This is situated just next to the tills, which there are about 6 of and lifts, where there are 2 of. At the rear, left hand side, there is swimwear.
When you go to the very bottom floor, you are met with menswear, childrenswear, shoes and homeware, also customer services is located down there too. Again, there lifts and around 8 tills.
The clothes in Primark are all VERY cheap, you can get t-shirts for £1.50, bras for £4, bags for £8, jeans for £8 etc. Everything is of decent quality, infact, I'd say it's all great quality for the price. Where else do you get things for under a tenner that last a long time?
All Primark clothes are just exactly what you'd see in places like Topshop, New Look etc, but cheaper. They also do Chanel-esque shoes and Gucci-esque bags.
All of the staff in Primark are either very young students, or people who speak very little english, so it makes it quite difficult to buy things, but other than that, it's great.
All in all, Primark is the place to go if you're short on cash but still want to look like you've just stepped out of a magazine.
Thank you for reading.
Summary: g-g-g-great!
