Advantages: Lots of stuff

Disadvantages: Really busy and jumble sale like

Just like most other females I love to shop for clothes/shoes/accessories. I also love a bargain and am no stranger to shops like Primark. However, sometimes I'm left wondering, is it really that great a bargain?

So the shop itself:
There are two Primark stores that I would generally use, one in Clydebank and the one on Argyle St. in Glasgow. The one on Argyle St. has to be easily five times the size of the one in Clydebank, yet somehow it feels much smaller inside. Primark stores generally have a layout resembling a poorly organised jumble sale, with railings too close together and over stocked with things that just have no reason to be together. This frustrates me as you can go in looking for a cardigan, see one on a model and despite wandering around the section that has lots of cardigans, never see it, then spot it next to the section with trousers just as your leaving with piles of stuff you didn't need. Also it is generally PACKED! I hate having my personal space invaded and in Primark I am often surrounded by a pack of angry women fighting over a £1 t-shirt and have to elbow my way to freedom, or into the next crowd of angry women, as the case so often is.

The clothing:
Can we call it cheap? Yes we can, most of it is cheap tat. However, on occasion one can be lucky enough to find something worthwhile, which gives the whole trip meaning.
The sizing can be a bit funny and seems to fluctuate even within the one style/item so my advice would be to try it on!

The changing rooms:
As far as trying it on goes, you'll be lucky if you don't have to wait at least 5 minutes in a que so go into the changing rooms where the staff seem bored, there are clothes everywhere and someone is yelling at the top of their voice.

The tills:
Ques are as bad as those for the changing rooms, but they do generally have a lot of people on the tills which is a bonus.

Overall:
If your prepared to wade through a pile of junk to find your gem then primark is worth a go, it's also good for basics which you may wear a few times then through out and for a laugh with your girl friends if you like to try on brightly coloured oversized sunglasses and floppy hats.

Summary: Enter at your own risk

I can't stand this place! The queues for the smelly changing rooms are beyond a joke!

I'd like to know why so many people shoplift from Primark - that's like stealing litter??
