Advantages: Gorgeous clothes at fantastic prices.

Disadvantages: I'm two hours away from the heavenly store at Oxford Street :(

Being a young girl in her twenties who is desperately trying to pay off her loans, for me Primark is an absolute godsend. They have a fantastic range of clothes, shoes and accessories all at really good prices. Primark is always my first (and usually only) port of call when I need clothes. You can get jeans for around a tenner, jumpers from £4 and packs of underwear that work out to about 50p an item. I think Primark has drastically improved over the last few years, the quality of the items is much better and they are more up to date with fashion now. The shops are still a mess though, but the staff do try hard to tidy it.
Being on such a tight budget I really have to think about where I spend my pennies, and on the odd occasion where I take a wander around Topshop and Miss Selfridge etc I just can't believe their prices. i almost died when I saw a pair of jeans in Topshop for £45 - think of how much stuff you could buy in Primark for that! You could buy FOUR pairs of jeans and still have change!
All my underwear comes from Primark, as does my swimwear and summer sandals. In their sale last year I got four kaftans for £1 each just before I went on holiday.
They do a good selection of mens clothes, underwear, sleepwear - my husband does his (rare) clothes shopping here too.
They do have some dodgy items however - things you look at and think "Who would wear that in public???", but on the whole the items are really fashionable adn I'd say on par with the other high street shops like Topshop, Bay etc.
Get to your local store if you have one, or if you are near London I would definitely recommend the Oxford Street branch as its absolutely massive and brimming with gorgeous items!!

Summary: The best shop on the high street.

I like Primark, but the messiness of the shop annoys me!

All high street manufacturers use child labour even the most reputed ones. The other thing is children are better off working than being forced to beg or prostitute themselves. It's their only source of income.
