Advantages: Good quality clothes, many stores nationwide, cheap and cheerful

Disadvantages: Can be somewhat of a scramble, clothes sizes not available for skinny people

Where to start with Primark? Early memories to start with - my mum and dad never had too much cash and I was always getting my vests, school shirts, underwear, etc, bought from Primark when I was 12 or 13 and I remember it was not a cool thing back then to be walking around in Primark gear. Little did I know 10 years on I would be in there most weekends buying their clobber and not giving a damn what people think and that Primark would grow into somewhat of a national treasure for both sexes and all ages.

I remember when some of my girlfriends would go inside and I just had to stand outside in case one of the lads walked by and saw me inside. Looking back how sad does this sound when I put it into words!

Primark, as I am sure many of you have got nicknames for, goes by the name of 'Primarni' between me and my mates and one of them took it to the extreme after a night of excessive drinking and had the word tattooed on his leg from knee to ankle!

Onto Primark itself and the present day the company is booming and has even got a massive store in London on Oxford Street where my wife spent 5 hours one time and I would recommend a visit to this particular store if no one has been. It is the holy grail of Primark shoppers. I can only comment on products I buy at Primark but I find their underwear and socks are of great value and are very good quality. I have also bought casual shirts and going out shirts from here and find that not only do they look the business but the print, on the t-shirts especially, is long lasting and doesn't run in the wash as you would expect with some t-shirts you are paying £2 for. Sometimes when you go in Primark it does feel like a jumble sale and you feel like you are a wrestler at the Royal Rumble as they get so packed and clothes are going all over the gaff. People will try to find that all important bargain. I have way too many pairs of jeans as my wife keeps telling me but I was very happy with a purchase I bought lately from here. The jeans were tight fitting and had that worn look and were on sale for a fiver - a total bargain. If you have the time and the patience to have a proper look there is some proper nice clobber to be found - so before you go lads to Burton or River Island and pay £10-15 more than you would at Primark, just have a look and see what you think and give yourself some extra drink money.

From my experience of my local Primark stores they also have a good looking children's wear, woman's section and ladies jewellery area. I would say if you are going on a holiday and you are looking to buy some cheap swimwear, sunglasses and flip flops then Primark is your one stop hot shop. Give it a go I'm sure you'll be back.

Summary: Rock on Primark!
