Advantages: cheap and cheerful

I only discovered Primark about 2 years ago and I couldn't believe what I had missed out on. Primark is a large clothes store that sells for Women, Men, Children and also has a home section. The prices here are ridiculously cheap!

I unfortunately don't have a Primark in my town, but when I go to somewhere that has one I always have to go! They do everything from smart work clothes, to pyjamas, to jeans, dresses, bikinis, underwear, shoes, accessories, etc etc. Everything you need fashion wise is in this store! And at about a 10th of the price you could get it anywhere else!

I have to say, the quality of the clothes isn't great, you do get what you pay for. I would never buy certain clothes from here such as jeans because they just don't look that good. But for things like underwear, beach clothes, or just little vest tops its great.

You can buy a vest top for £1.50, trousers for £5.00, jewellery for £1, etc. It really is that cheap! The only downside is that its usually packed with people you can barely move. And don't even think about trying on your clothes before you buy! One rule I have here is to always buy things that generally will be ok no matter what - like vest tops and socks etc, you just can't go wrong. The reason is that generally you queue for 30 mins just to get in the changing room, and then they only let you take in about 5 items out of your massive bag full.

Last time I decided to get whatever I wanted, as long as I didn't try it on. So I picked up knickers, a belt, socks, t-shirts, vest tops, linen trousers (which are £8 by the way and really nice!), and loads more. Got to the till and it came to like £30! Great! And at that price if one or two items don't fit then you have only wasted like a fiver.

One thing to bear in mind is when you come to pay, the queue for the tills is always huge, but they have so many tills and they work so quickly that you are usually queuing for less than 10 minutes. I have never queued for long here but they queue does always look massive.

Oh yeah and the store is generally a bit of a mess too, most Primark stores I have been in are a mess, nothing is tidy and takes you ages to find the size you want.

But at that price, who's complaining?
