Advantages: Great value and style

Disadvantages: None

Finally, the stigma has gone. No longer do I need to look around before entering Primark to see if anyone knows me. The reason for this has to be a quite brilliant brand shift that has propelled the company from the "cheap" tag to the "cheap but great quality and really quite trendy".

Primark has always been one of my favourite shops since it first arrived in Doncaster but up until now I would never have admitted that. Initially the appeal was simply the low cost that a pack of t-shirts was or a pair of knickers. Now the appeal is the low cost of a really trendy and much more expensive looking top or a pair of jeans. The standard has really gone through the roof over recent years and you can now see the popularity of the place every time you go in, but even more so on the crazy sale opening days like Boxing Day. We have all seen the footage of the stampede entering Primark on Boxing Day. I like the place, but not that much.

I have found the staff at my local Primark to be friendly and helpful and there is always enough of them on the checkout to make sure that even the longest of queues doesn't take too long to negotiate past.

Primark has stuck to its values of producing clothes at a good price and has now added that much needed factor with clothes - likeability. If you like what you are wearing and feel good it doesn't matter what it cost and that is a feeling I have and I know is now shared by my husband who wouldn't have been seen dead in Primark 2 years ago.

The current economic climate means that Primark are set to prosper where other more expensive outlets may struggle. They really do have their own particular market sewn up... literally. The key thing is that the vast majority of people cannot tell an expensive top from a cheap top and if the cheap top looks as good as the expensive top then that is the best result possible. Primark achieve this on a regular basis with practically every item.

As the quality of Primark's offering shows no signs of slowing down or diminishing, I see no reason why I, along with millions of other people, will not enjoy buying my clothes from there for many years to come.

Summary: The stigma has gone, everyone pile in!

A good review but I don't think the stigma has gone. For me the stigma of them using sweated and child labour means that they are questionable bargains.

I can't get into their jeans which claim to be my size - I can get them just over my knees then no further - fashion and I do not get on!
