Advantages: Ahhhh, beloved cheap clothes. Always with the fashion, good for basics!

Disadvantages: Staff can be rude, clothes fall apart within months, only every seems to be 8 or 16 in sizes, messy

Well... I don't think I know a single person who hasn't shopped at Primark!

It's students heaven. Penneys in Ireland and Primark in the UK, it has gained popularity in recent years, focusing on cheap fashion for kids and students are the target market.

-Advantages-

Cheap clothes! These are always almost on a par with higher priced stores in terms of fashion. Most of the time, if I see something I like in River Island or Topshop, I will check out Primark first to see if it has something similar. (Most of the time it does, so it's always worth checking it out, after all, that item might not be in fashion in a few months anyway - the average amount of time the clothes keep.)

Good for the basics, bras, socks, knickers etc. From my experience, the bras are comfy, look nice and last ages, as do the socks, but the knickers tend to be another matter!!!! They often fall apart after a while, but at £2 a pair, it's so easy to pop back and grab more with funky designs!

The homeware is always very decent, nothing amazing but good for the basics.

The shoes, again, at £4 a pair, they don't last. The prices vary with style and quailty, ranging from 0.98p to £14.00. The flats are always a bargain must have. The boots tend to be nice, but some of the styles are very bizarre! But that's fine when it comes to summer if you're wanting a pair of flip flops to slug on the beach with. Saying that my friend has a pair that lasted her a year! The sizes always seem to be a 4 though! Grr, not good for my old clown feet!

-Disadvantages-

Okay. The store is often HEAVING. Stuff everywhere, especially in the larger stores. My store is quite small and never crazy, whereas the larger ones actually scare me! My step dad will often cower under a rail until he cannot stand it and practically runs out of there!!!! People grab, examine, then toss if it's not to their taste.

Finding the right sizes is a bloody pain too. It's always the size 8 or 16's left! I also find the sizes are a bit hit a miss, a 12 could be huge when a size 14 is quite small. So I would always recommend trying it on! Even if it's only £6, you might as well go for something you like, as the queues are mad, and the customer service often very slow.

The staff often seem very fed up and tired, but thats to be expected with the sea of clothes on the floor! The till staff don't often bother saying hello and scan your items very quickly, as if they want to get on their tea break as soon as possible (again, to be expected, however I work in a place where good manners and a nice cheery persona is expected, so it always puts me off!)

Also the clothes don't last long, but again, so cheap, and the fashion changes so quickly anyway.

Overall, good for bargains, and you will always find a great item! You won't leave with nothing. :) Thanks for reading!

Summary: Great place for a bargain, but beware of the lions.... I mean shoppers!!!!!!!!
