Advantages: Cheap clothes that lets you update your look regularly
Disadvantages: Very bad quality clothes; Rude staff; The shops are a mess
I don't see the point of shopping at Primark even though their stuff is proper cheap because it always washes badly and goes out of shape. The material they use is always loads thinner than in other shops and the sizes don't match up either.
The sell mens, womens and kids clothes. The best stuff is the baby stuff because it's all cute and trendy but clothes for anyone above 5 in here are badly made and don't look half as good by the time they've been washed twice.
The shops always look like charity shops because the clothes are all over the place and even if you go in early in the morning it still looks a proper mess like they haven't even bothered to tidy up overnight. The clothes are always on the wrong hangers as well so if you pick up a 10 then you should always check the label in the clothes because you might get to the changing room and it's a 16.
The staff aren't very helpful and even the ones that are on the shop floor don't ever seem to be able to answer any questions I have got. My local Primark is in Redditch and the women on the checkouts are awful, they are all orange with fake tan and I don't think they could crack a smile if they wanted to. Some of them are proper rude and talk to the people on the next checkouts while they are serving you.
The clothes are loads cheaper than other clothes shops but the quality is really crap so I don't think you end up saving a lot of money in the long run. Here is an example of that. I brought a button through shirt from Dorothy Perkins and paid about £11.00 for it but when I went back for another one in a different colour they had all been sold then a week later I saw the same shirt in Primark for £3.50 so I brought one. The one from DP still looks as good as new even though it was about 6 months ago I brought it but the Primark one starting shrinking and pulling at the seams only after about 4 weeks.
My dad hates Primark jeans because they are only £4.00 a paid and look proper cheap and the side seam always twists round to the front of his leg because the denim is cut so bad.
Their clothes are ok for taking on holiday because it don't matter if they get ripped and you can even just put them in the bin while you are away because they are so cheap and it's no stress if anything happens to it.
I don't go to Primark very often now because even though they are cheap you can get better in other shops for not very much more money. I can see why people buy their stuff from there though because its so cheap that you can update your wardrobe all the time but I prefer to buy clothes that are going to last and not look tacky after just a little bit of time.
Summary: Primark Are Proper Cheap But The Clothes Are Crap
