Primark sell men's, women's and children's clothing plus home stuff. It's cheap and cheerful, keeps abreast of fashion trends pretty well and it's very easy to go in there and come out with 20 things! Some of it is tat though! Plus, you do see people wearing the same things!

It is very cheap, just a few pounds for a top. They have a pretty good shoe range and a good bag range. I have bought loads and loads from Primark (I'm trying to curb the habit) and you just can't beat it on price. Quality can really differ, I've had some Primark stuff for a while (shoes seem to last well) and other stuff that has fallen apart quickly. Customer service isn't great, but they do usually take things back.

Obviously, there are ethical questions about how their clothes are so cheap!

In terms of the stores themselves, go on a Saturday and it's hell. The queues are huge, the shop is a mess and there are what feels like thousands of people in there. It's boiling, it's horrible. Avoid it.

Go on a Sunday. Much more civilised.
