Advantages: Cheap clothing
Disadvantages: Cheap clothing doesn't last!
Primark
For those who have never visited a Primark, it could perhaps best be described as budget shopping. They sell mens, ladies and childrens clothes, household items, and toiletries. The shops do tend to be quite large, but also have a slightly crammed in feeling, with every inch of space jammed with goods. This makes it difficult to look at everything and also means that lots of things tend to end up on the floor. The staff always seem stressed out, both the sales staff and the security staff too, though I imagine that it must be a difficult environment to work in. Having said that, you often feel that you are bothering them when asking questions in my local store, and that is frustrating, after all, surely they are there to assist?
Another issue in my local store is the queues for the changing rooms, they are a nightmare which means that you tend to buy without trying and then invariably have to return things. Often you forget and end up with stuff that gos to the charity shop as you haven't returned it in time.
The quality of the goods is not great, they don't wash well, losing their shape and colour quickly. And there is some truth in the old adage, that you get what you pay for. There are still some good bargains though so it is always worth a look, if you can bear the shops that is!
I'm not really a fan, I would prefer to pay a little extra and get something that lasts a little longer, but now and again, they do the job!
Summary: Not the best place to shop
