Affordable, fashionable, but not always of the best quality.

Disadvantages: Not always the best quality, long queues
When a branch of Primark first opened in my town, I wasn't really aware of the company. However, I soon realised that Primark stock very cheap clothing and accessories. Having always been a quality over quantity kind of girl, the shop just didn't appeal to me. However, being a student, I did buy my fair share of school bags from there. The designs are fashionable, but don't expect high quality material. Those bags were perfect during school, but for uni, I now shop elsewhere for something more durable.
As for the clothing there, I rarely bought anything due to the horror stories I used to hear (e.g "I bought this coat from Primark last week and it's ripped already"). Whether or not that sentiment holds true for most of their items is still up for debate. Again, they have very fashionable designs but the quality of the material, and the way it's put together is not always worth the money, even if it is just £2. I've bought a few tops from there before that i thought were pretty but they didn't last long. They were all pretty shapeless, and the seams weren't sewn down, resulting in it curling up as soon as you wash it.
The great thing about Primark though is definitely the prices more than anything else. You could go on a shopping spree there and end up with loads of items totalling to about £25.
Despite not being the biggest fan of Primark, I currently don't have a Primark near me and it's made me realise how handy it actually is. I recently bought a pair of boots from there which cost me so much less than other stores. The quality wasn't perfect but it was fine to wear on an everday basis, it was fashionable, and it was the exact design that I was after. They also had a lovely selection of bags which made me realise how much I loved just purchasing a cheaper bag every now and then just for the sake of keeping things fresh. After all, you can't really do that with somewhere like Accessorize unless you have money to burn.
Please don't be put off going to Primark. If you're looking for an outfit for a formal event then it's best to look elsewhere, but in general, Primark is affordable. I find that the mens clothes tend to be a lot better than the womens. Also, don't be surprised if you see about 5 guys in the same Primark top. Happens all the time.
Primark gets extremely busy so be prepared for very long queues. But it'll be worth it when you leave with a big bag full of shopping and a purse which is not that much lighter than it was before you stepped in the shop.
If you're a student, Primark is your gem.
Summary: Great for students or those on a budget
