Ever get sick of spending the GDP of a small country on clothes. Tired of making yourself skint just to put some decent clothes on your back or are you just a student. If any of that describes you then Primark is exactly what you have been looking for.

Primark sells good quality every day clothes for low, low prices. You want find any top labels here though, just god quality fashion clothes at prices everyone can afford.

Originally I was rather sceptical about Primark. I excepted it to be full of crap like most market stalls or small clothes shops that sell cheap clothes are. I was however completely taken aback by the quality of the garments in the store.

My first visit was to the recently opened (April 2002) store in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Shopping Centre. Open entering the store my first impression was that of a bright and clean store well planned and very large.

Armed with £30 I was looking for some cheap clothes to help expand my wardrobe a little. I started scanning the shelves and racks for things I would like. Admittedly there was a lot of plain stuff and things I wouldn?t wear but I am a little bit of clothes snob in that respect. However after much searching I found a rather nice black Shirt for £7 and an even nicer blue hooded top (with zip) for only £12. It was time to try them on.

I made my way to the changing rooms and like all shop changing rooms these days they are manned. I took my tag from the attendant and entered. They cubicles in the changing rooms are possibly the biggest I have ever seen in a shop and there was plenty of space for changing in them, which I found impressive. The clothes fit well and I went to purchase.

One thing I found when I reached the till was that the only accepted a handful of cards, which in 2002 is a bit of an annoyance. I?m of the opinion all cards should be accepted in all major stores. I had to make a trip to the ban before purchasing the items because of
this.

The female clothing section is also vast and full of plenty of contemporary styles and lots of bargains.

One thing of note is the underwear section on the second floor is vast and appears to have plenty of choose for women?s underwear as well as a small section for children?s clothing.

Sizes of clothes are in the usual ranges of Small to Extra large. Female sizes tend to go up to 20. The range of clothes available goes from casuaul everyday stuff to beachwear and even shirts and trousers which may be suitable for work or going out. The only thing I didnt spot was footwear. They seem to have a little bit of everything clothes wise, but it does mean you have to look a little bit harder for your clothing.

Despite the fact Primark has a lot of average clothing there are some real bargains and several contemporary fashions. The price difference is very low and unless you visit the store your really wont appreciate the value. Th store was spacious and bright and the floor plan was pretty well done. The changing facilities are perhaps the best I have seen. I was a bit disappointed with the fact I could use a debit card at the till. Primark is a top store and although I could buy all my clothes there it certainly the place to go to find a quick bargain.
