Advantages: Cheap, fair quality
Disadvantages: long queues
For years I had never thought of buying anything from here, hell I hadn?t even been in here until my friend told me what great bargains they had. You see I thought it had always been a tacky store, where you got cheep clothes but they were rubbish and did not look particularly attractive well I was wrong. ~~What is Primark~~ This is a shop which sells mainly women?s clothes, ranging from shoes, bags, tops and coats. You could buy a full outfit from here. They also have a selection for men as well, this range is not as extensive. In my store (Grimsby) There isn?t a children?s section. I think this would be handy for new mothers as children grow out of their clothes so quickly you can?t afford to buy them expensive clothes. They sometimes have home furnishings in store as well such as cushions and towels etc. But its mainly clothing that they sell. As I said before they aim to give you the cheapest prices possible, and you won?t find another store that can kit you out completely as cheap as them. ~~~The range~~~ The stock changes regularly, about every month I think. So there?s always new items in. There is a wide range of clothes as well this includes, Casual wear ---- such as jeans, fleeces, t shirts etc Smart wear---- Such as things that you would wear to work like skirts shirts, and also going out clothes that you would wear for a night out on the town. Shoes---- At the moment they are going along with the high fashion, which is at the minute stiletto type heals. They also do normal shoes and some trainers as well Lingerie and nightwear--- They do everything from knickers to bra?s up to size DD. Silk nighties, nighties for the older women and dressing gowns. Accessories---- Things mainly like bags, brollies and gloves are in at the minute as its coming up to winter. Men?s wear-- I?ve had a quick browse round this section, but I?m not as up to date on what they sel
l as the parts in the women?s sections, because I don?t wear men?s clothes. They too have formal and casual sections. I don?t think they go into as much detail for men. They don?t sell men?s shoes or underwear. The clothes come in two ranges, t shirt kinds, where you can get styles for the young and old. And shirts. These are mainly for the younger generation as they sport motifs such as flames, and other symbols which would look best on a younger model, I don?t mean any offence by this by the way. ~~~Quality~~~~ All of the items that I have bought from here have been of a decent quality. Most clothes don?t look as cheap as they are. But like many shops you have to sort the decent stuff from the crap. As there are items that look well, a little tacky. But not all. I bought one of those parkas with fir round the hood from new look for £35. My mate came on the bus and I thought she had the same coat on as me, but no she had bought it from Primark for a mere tenner, I was well mad. To look at these too coats look very similar and by no means is it easy to pick out the cheaper one. I?ve got no complaints about the things I?ve bought from there as they are all lasting rather well, as well as all my other clothes from other high street shops such as new look and bay. ~~~Layout~~~ In my store (Grimsby) it is easy to get about between the racks. The shop is quite large and is in a T shape. Down the stem of the T they have women?s casual wear, as we all know women buy a hell of a lot more clothes than men. Also this is where the main checkouts are, which are in the middle to make more wall space, as a lot of the items are hung here. The ceiling are quite low so you can look at the items easily without asking someone for a pair of ladders to look a the higher items. Then they have small island racks which are in a + shape and are dotted around the store. By doing this instead of putting long rails in it makes
it a hell of a lot easier to get round the store. This is how each section is displayed. Then in the branches of the T they have the women?s lingerie and accessories, the other has the men?s clothes. ~~~Service and Queues~~~ This is the only bad factor to the shop Primark. My store only has three till, which on a Saturday is no way near enough, as the store can get quite busy because of the cheap prices. The queues can get very long nearly stretching the whole length of the shop and sometimes you have to wait nearly 30 minutes to get served by a very stressed and flustered member of staff. Maybe it is because its so bust, but they don?t have the best attitudes, although I shouldn?t complain with these cheap prices In all a great budget clothes shop. You could kit yourself out totally for just a small price Underwear set £12 Top £7 Trousers £10 Sandals £10 Coat £15 Totalling £54 .. Not bad for a whole outfit don?t ya think

- 05/10/03 Great op. My local Primark is HUGE and has a very large mens and kiddie dept's. Clothing quality was a little poor at first but now great. Have jeans that are years old and still great. |
