Advantages: 9 mont student rentals

Disadvantages: non existant customer service

The service I recieved from Radio rentals ranks among the very worst I have been treated by any company ever.
You would think that renting a washing machine would be easy, but with Radio rentals it most defineatly was not.
It started out well enough I went into the store on Monday filled in the paper work and was told I would receive a call on Wednesday to arrange a delivery date. Wednesday came and went and so did Thursday and Friday so I went back into the shop and asked why I didn't get a call. They came back and told me that they had lost all my paperwork. This was slightly disturbing as it had all my bank details on it ready for them to set up a direct debit.
So after filling all the paperwork out again I was promised another call before Friday which again didn't materialize, so I made another trip to the store and spent a quarter of an hour waiting so I could be told by a very abrupt and decidedly unapologetic woman that they weren't going to give me a washing machine because I'd been turned down (!?). No apology, No explanation nothing. I asked if it was possible to pay by cash and she said yes but it had to be a lump sum in advance.

If there was another place that did a 9-month student rental instead of the standard 12-14 I would have gone there instead, but there wasn't so I sent one of my housemates down with the cash instead. He had no problem, they explaned that it was our house that was black listed for credit because of a previous tenant and they arranged a delivery date there and then.

Sounds like the story ends there doesn't it, it doesn't.

The end of the year came around and so did the end of the rental period for our washing machine. My housemate went into the store to arrange a collection date. My other housemate spent 6 hours in the house waiting for some one to collect it and you’ve guessed it… No one turned up.

I went into the shop to arrange another
date for them to collect it. It took ten minutes just to find us on the system because they had spelt the name wrong.
They weren’t bothered that no one had turned up to collect it the first time and didn’t apologize for it either.
We arranged a date.
I spent 6 hours waiting for the delivery guy.
He didn’t turn up.
I went back to the shop and told them that we were all moving out of the house the next week and they had better come and collect the machine before we left or they would have to go through the landlord to gain access to the house.
They weren’t bothered, but they named a morning when they claimed someone would come and get the machine.
Guess what.......No one came.
We all moved out of the house.
The washing machine was still in the kitchen.
It's probably still there now.....
