In the mid 1980's, when I first got married, I could not afford to buy a television and VCR so I rented one. My Mum had always rented, so I felt if was good enough for her then it was good enough for me. I went to my local show room which at the time was D.E.R (remember them) I chose a video and T.V package, paying slightly less for ... Read the complete review

The service I recieved from Radio rentals ranks among the very worst I have been treated by any company ever. You would think that renting a washing machine would be easy, but with Radio rentals it most defineatly was not. It started out well enough I went into the store on Monday filled in the paper work and was told I would receive a ... Read the complete review

I have worked for radio rentals for over three years now. I don't always agree with everything they do, but now they have merged with granada and have changed their name to boxclever we are trying to come up with new ideas. i think we offer a better service than most electrical shops i know, especially Dixons etc. Iam the ... I was a happy young chap. I’d got onto the second year of my course at university and I’d got out of university accommodation and into a house. A house with people of my choosing no less! As we were all friends prior to living together we bought quite a lot of ‘stuff’ for the house between us. One of these was an ex rental ... Read the complete review

We've had a TV and Video from Radio Rentals for years now, and until recently found them good value for money. We did start to realise that if we saved the money from paying for them (monthly, £12 for TV and £10 for video) we could soon start to save ourselves money. In a year the video cost us £120, easily enough to purchase a new one, so ... Read the complete review

We have been renting our TV and video from Radio Rentals for about 4 years now, since moving to Norfolk. We couldn't afford to buy a new TV or video outright and thought that this would be the best way of watching our favourite programmes! Also, and more importantly, we felt we were paying for "piece of mind" - as we knew ... Read the complete review

For years we rented a television and video from Radio Rentals as we believed that it would work out cheaper in the long run as we would not have to pay for repairs to any equipment which can be very expensive. The idea is good in principle, you can rent equipment from Radio Rentals and then if anything goes wrong they repair the equipment or ... Read the complete review

About twelve or more years ago I needed a TV for my BBC computer so I bought a cheap ex-rental model from Rediffusion. It is still working and has never needed attention. I was told by a TV ebgineer that rental models are more sturdily built and I can beleive this. So recently my VCR went tempremental on me and I took it to a repair shop and ... I bought an ex-rental TV from radio rentals and it is the best thing that I could have done. The price of the TV was ecxcellent in comparison with the price of a new TV. I bought an aiwa 21" clour Tv with teletext for £90. The Tv was less than a year old and when I bought it came with a one year gaurantee. What more could you ask. It ... Read the complete review

I bought an ex-rental television from Radio Rentals last year and I would advise anybody that is thinking of doing the same not to. My husband and I went along to their showroom and had a look at all the televisions that were available. When we found one we wanted and had checked that it worked, we went downstairs to pay for it. I should have ... Read the complete review

A while ago I went into our local branch of radio rentals, and working there was a woman I knew but hadn't seen for a while. As soon as she opened her mouth, I knew something was different. She had changed into a Stepford Wife. In a high pitched, almost breathless voice she announced "Hello how may I help you?" This was ... Read the complete review
