Republic is a trendy clothing store. Plymouth's is situated in the shopping mall.

There's something I really like about this shop, which is the way the men's stuff is given the same prominence as the women's. So many shops make the men go upstairs, but not Republic.

Basically, this shop stocks all the latest trendy makes such as Henleys, Bench and Fenchurch. Notably, they don't stock Superdry, which seems to be exclusively available in Cult. Anyway, their Henley's range is actually wider than that available on the Henley's website which is pretty amazing.

The clothes are expensive in here: T-shirts range from £20 upwards, and jeans can easily set you back £65, so it's no bargain basement. However, it is cutting edge trendy gear, so what do you expect? If you compare the prices to those online, they're virtually the same. Henleys have free delivery on their website, with the T Shirts being 1 penny more expensive online. However, by going into this shop at least you can try on the clothes to get the right size before you buy.

I love the way they stock a large range of colours, although sizes go up to a conventional large at best, so don't go in if you're any biggers.

The staff are friendly, although the music is pretty loud. The shop assistant asked for my email address to enter a comp for a £250 shopping spree, then went on to query what a certain letter was that I had written down: the @ symbol, love!

All in all, this is a top price store with a selective clientele, but the staff are friendly. The stock is wide, the products great quality and in a wide range of colours, but sizes are limited and aimed at the smaller man.
