Advantages: High fashion at high street prices

Disadvantages: Jeans and jewellery are quite expensive

River Island offer up to the minute fashion on the high street. Their prices are varied and can be really good value e.g. vests £5. Equally they can be really very expensive mostly with jeans and jewellery.

The stores are generally clean and well laid out. They are usually well staffed, and the staff are easily recognisable with STAFF on the back of their tops! They have a good presence on the high street, and offer a good range of sizes for women from 6-18.

Generally speaking their stock rotates fairly quickly and staff are usually able to "reserve" items at other stores if they don't have the item or size in stock you are looking for.

The items are reasonable quality, and are well displayed to give buyers inspiration and fashion trend ideas. The website is also good for giving you ideas of what goes with what! You can buy an entire outfit from here, and ensure you are accessorized perfectly!
