Advantages: THE LAYOUT, THE STAFF, THE FOOD, THE THIS, THE THAT.......

Disadvantages: I CANNOT THINK OF ANY

I thank the lord that Sainsbury's have discovered price reduction, I have previously written about Asda and how it is the cheapest blah blah blah , well to my delight while looking on the fabulous website www.mysupermarket.co.uk, and spending over an hour clicking through all the groceries and household goods that I needed, that Sainsbury's came out on top. My shopping bill was about £20 less than Tesco and about £12 less than Tesco, Ocado comparison is not worth mentioning as there prices are just ridiculously high.

I know what your thinking, how could this be, well I am in shock to, and I still am. Sainsbury's is one of my more favoured supermarkets, it just has a nicer feel to it and a nicer atmosphere. So when I discovered it was cheaper I decided to buy my shopping from Sainsbury's.

I still have my receipt for that shop with me, so I will let you know some of the offers and price reductions.
I have a little one at home, so I still need to buy baby wipes, Sainsbury's were selling there little ones fragrance free 80 baby wipes at a buy one get one free offer, they normally sell at 98p a pack, so I bought 10 packs for £4.90 instead of £9.80, they were also selling petit filous fromage frais for 75p for a pack of six x 60g pots, instead of the usual price of £1.49 per pack, I also bought warburtons farmhouse bread for £1 per loaf instead of £1.25 per loaf, I wont keep boring you with my shopping list but I will just add one more thing, a 2.5 kg bag of white potatoes I bought for £1 a bag instead of £1.38 per bag.

Each item individually may not add up to much, but when you start adding up all the savings together it certainly does, there were more offers but the ones I have mentioned were some of the best. Also the above offers are no longer valid, but you just need to keep searching them out, they are there if you look.

For the past couple of weeks since my big shop at Sainsbury's, I have continued to shop there for the smaller food shops that I need, and I will tell you the reason for this. It is simple as I trust their products, I trust their shop and I trust their staff.

I use the Sainsbury's in Braintree, North Essex, it is a medium sized supermarket, it does not have their clothing range or electrical goods etc.
I will start from the outside in, the store has ample car parking , it is always busy, but it is laid out extremely well, like most others it has mother and baby, and disabled spaces nearest to the entrance and then all the other spaces further back, the main entrance is set slightly to the side of the building but is still within easy reach to and from the car park. The trolleys are either in the trolley bays around the car park or they are situated near to the entrance the same as the baskets, as you go in there are security alarms for obvious reasons, and then there is a section on its own where you can purchase your newspaper, magazine and a snack without having to go all through the store to the main checkouts.

The layout of the store is great, you have fruit and vegetables all together, then you have all fridge and deli counters all together, tinned goods all together, frozen all together, I think you get the idea. Every time I have been into Sainsbury's it has always been fully stocked, I hate going into stores where the shelves are half or completely empty, I want to go in and get what I want, and here I can.
I keep checking on the other website that I have mentioned in this review, to do price comparisons for the other supermarkets for the small shops that I need to do each week, such as bread, milk, fruit etc, and Sainsbury so far has remained on top for what I want.

I am not saying that it will be the same for everyone, as everyone's shopping preferences are different, but I would advise you all to do the price comparison and see, you might be surprised by the results.

Long may these price reductions continue, Asda drains me so much, I could cope with Tesco but i do love Sainsbury's, so please Mr Sainsbury continue with the offers.

Summary: JUST TRY THE COMPARISON

Our Tesco's is madness- much prefer shopping at our local Sainsburys.
