Advantages: Great quality and selection of products

Disadvantages: not cheap

Sainsburys is one of the largest supermarket chains in Britain. It seems to be one of the more expensive supermarkets however I feel that the quality of the food and the store surroundings of a high standard and so the slightly higher prices speak for themselves.

Sainsburys is recognisable from its bright orange letters and matching orange carrier bags. As already mentioned the quality of the products that are sold is high and there is a wide selection of products and foods from lots of different cultures.

Sainsbury's is trying to cater for a wider variety of shoppers by introducing the three different levels of own products. There is the distinctive 'basics' range which is quite substantially cheaper than other options. There is also a middle price range and a higher price and quality range.

The sainsburys stores that I have visited have all been extremely well looked after. The stores themselves appeared clean, tidy and well stocked as well as the exterior being looked after with plenty of parking spaces available.

Most Sainsbury stores also have additional services including cafes, pharmacys and garages.

Summary: A great place to shop if you dont mind spending a little extra
