Advantages: Good vegetarian range.

Disadvantages: More expnsive than Tescos-in my opinion.

Sainsburys is one of the biggest supermarkets in England. It is in direct competition with Tesco and Asda to take over the largest market share. Although I have not analysed stocks and shares I'm pretty sure at the moment it is coming second to Tescos as they have become England's supermarket giant of the moment.

Sainsburys is famous for itsa bright orange logo of their name witten in plain easy to read lettering. Sainsburys sells a wide range of produce and food, drinks, frozen good. Depending on size the biggers one sell off shoots of different stalls and sections. Some have pharmacys, clothing ranges, meat ranges cafes and many more.

Sainsburys is also famous for its Jamie Oliver adverts. They back all his campaigns, for better quality chickens etc. In the adverts he is always cooking classy looking affordable meals. One of the campaigns they have had lately is feed your family for a fiver. In the adverts Jamie Oliver shows people how to cook a decent healthy meal for the family and make the total price come to under £5. You can pick up recipe cards to help with this in store.

Sainsburys markets itself as the slightly classier supermarket than Tesco and I think that is why Tesco has boomed ahead in the recession and Sainsburys has not so much. I find Sainsburys a little more expensive than Tescos, which is a downside for me. Also the Tescos nearest me has a wider range, so beats Sainsbury's in that respect. The major upside for Sainsburys for me is that they have a wide vegetarian range.
