Advantages: A well laid out and friendly store
Disadvantages: pricey
Given the choice, I would recommend Sainsbury`s to most shoppers. However, the one thing that lets them down is their steep prices. Food quality at the stores I have visited is excellent and the customer service is second to none. The staff actually help you to pack and don`t sit and throw your goods down the conveyor belt as other supermarkets do. I have gone into my local Sainsbury`s at closing time and not been moaned at or treated any differently. I have also been through with a push chair etc. and the staff couldn`t have been more helpful. I have even asked for a variety of requests and where possible these have been met. I am writing here about a quality supermarket. However, as you have read at the opening of theis review, Sainsbuty`s need to do something about their prices. When compared to the likes of Safeway or Tesco, I have found Sainsbury`s a little uncompetitive. I was impressed with Sainsbury`s points system until a short time ago. They used to issue points which were worth quite a lot with a variety of clothes chains, but now these chains have imposed conditions which make the points a little `pointless`. I wonder if anyone agrees with this??? I hope you have enjoyed reading this and have found it useful.
