Advantages: Snob Value

Disadvantages: expensive

I often have a wander through the food hall at Selfridges in Manchester, and have a good oggle at the wide selection of continental and world wide food products that are on display.

There is always a great sushi selection and wide ranges of cheeses, sliced meats, bakery products, fish, chocolates, Indian / chineese take away style food.

There is a wide range of jars of sauces , pickles and relishes. Loads of variety of pasta and noodles, and a vast selction of flavoured teas and coffee.

It is not a place that most people would do the weekly shop in, as it is very expensive and quite often people seem to buy one or two items, just so they can be seen with a yellow Selfridges bag. However if money is no object shopping would be a delight here.
