Shopping in Blackpool is fantastic!!!!!! Everything is so cheap clothes are superb, sweets are lovely, property is amazingly low priced and leather goods such as shoes and bags are out of this world!

Clothes.
there are clothes shops everywhere, they are all along the sea front and you can see them a mile of because all there best stock is hanging on the front of the shop but the best places to go are on the back streets. They are the same kind of shops but the further from the tower you get the cheaper everything is.
The clothes aren't bad quality either as you would expect the jeans are nice material and the tops don't fray.
here are the average prices
Jeans- Ladies: £10 each, Men's: 2 for £15
Tops £3 - £5
Jumpers £5 - £10

Sweets
there must be well over 1000 sweet shops in Blackpool and once again all the shops are pretty much the same with the same content but the further you are from the tower the cheaper it gets.
Rock - Small: 15 for £1 Medium (normal sized rock) 7 for £1 Large (huge) 3 for £1
Fudge - 3 Boxes of Fudge for £1.50

Property
Coming from Manchester I have noticed that all big houses from in and around Lancashire are made from red Brick, this is called Accrington brick and not surprising a big percentage of Blackpool looks like this too. In my opinion this is what all mansions should be made of it is very elegant looking.
You can buy a 5 bedroom house in Blackpool for around £100,000 - where else in the country could you get that? exactly - no where!! you can buy a guest house for around £60,000 it is amazing.

Leather goods.
This is my favourite bit I came home with so many bags last time I went I could barely carry them. and they are all very modern chic bags and shoes not like your granddads loafers or anything like that.
Shoes, Ladies: £5 - £10, Men's: £10 - £15
Bags, Ladies: £5, Men's brand name sports bags: £5 -
£15
Belts Ladies: £5 - £7, Men's Brand name £10

So in conclusion if you are looking to retire somewhere nice in a nice big house look around Blackpool you will be surprised!
If you are looking to buy a new wardrobe go to Blackpool, don't worry about the train fare you will save that amount 50 times over on the clothes and shoes
Or if you are just looking for a cheap holiday then you know where to go....

Cheap rubbish everywhere! It has also become very dirty in the last few years. Half the properties along the front are derelict, or reduced to piles of rubble. Blackpool also has the dubious title of 'Murder capital of UK'. OK for a coule of days but not a place to hang around too long.

I went for the first time a few weeks ago, and would probably agree with Zoe, though to be fair I didn't see much shopping, so can't comment very well. It does seem like a hard place to get a job though, so maybe easy to move in, and hard to move out? Prom and lights were cool though! Cheers, John
