Shopping Areas in Brighton in generalNewest Review: ... live about 200 miles away from brighton now and it has made me even more appreciative of how brilliant it is as nowhere I have ever lived even comes close when it comes to shopping. When I come back to visit family and friends I always stop by to have a lot around the shops. I'd say the Brighton is fairly average when it comes to shopping in the main centre. I was born and bought up near Brighton and I've always found it brilliant for shopping. When I was very young I used to get a lot out of a trip to Churchill Square (the main shopping centre and area of the town) and then as I got older, I spent more time in the lanes. The opening hours are: Monday - Wednesday 9 - 6pm Thursday 9 - 8pm Friday & Saturday 9 - 7pm Sunday 11 - 5pm Churchill Square has shops such as Debenhams, BHS, River Island, Republic, Early Learning Centre etc. Just outside Churchill Square are shops such as Cult, Primark, M&S and New Look. However, if like me, you are a fan of more original shops, a treat awaits you in 'The Laines' area of Brighton. As it suggests, ... Read the complete review

This weekend I went to Brighton with my girlfriend. The highlight of the weekend was supposed to be going to my g/friends grandmothers birthday party, that wasn't the case however. On the last day she took me for a trip into Brighton. Words can hardly express how great the place is! We started off by visiting the pier. Now *I* like amusement arcades, so the thrill of throwing money into machines that you never win on was a joy for me :) The view off the pier was fantastic, all the little boats in the distance, and the beautiful clean beach spreading out for miles in each direction. The warm fresh seaside air circled about, it felt relaxing and homely. ... Read the complete review
