Shopping Areas in Dublin in generalNewest Review: ... a great main shopping centre. The shopping centre has loads of shops, and we had no trouble buying for our friends and family. They have alot of sourvenior shops, and then your main shops like river island and debenhams. In the centre of dublin, we visited a shop called bewleys, in here you can buy the best coffee ever, they freshly grind it for you, and put it in a cute little bag. The smell when you walk in is delicious. At the back of this shop is a restaurant, and my advice if you go there, is to go in. The food is delciious, and make sure you ask for a bewleys coffee, it is very nice indeed. Dublin was a very expensive pl... more |

My partner and i went to dublin a few years ok. We stayed in the centre of dublin and i have to say it was a maverelous expereince. Dublin is very pretty and very busy. It has a vast amount of restuarants and pubs, and a great main shopping centre. The shopping centre has loads of shops, and we had no trouble buying for our friends and family. Having spent plenty of time in Dublin for both work and holidays, I have found that there is more to Dublin than just the social scene. There are over 40 shopping malls and centres in the Dublin Area. One I can recommend for quality fresh food is the Blackrock Shopping Centre (Follow N11 to N31 to the centre or Dart train to Blackrock then 5 minutes walk). The largest Mall is Blanchardstown Centre which was opened in 1996 (Follow N4 to M50 northbound to N3 from Dublin centre) Another large mall is the Liffey Valley Centre opened in 1998 which is sign osted from the N4 just west of M50 interchange. These large malls are full of ... Read the complete review

Don't get me wrong here, I love Dublin, I think it's a beautiful city and there is such a warm atmosphere wherever you go. My first trip to Dublin purely for shopping purposes in December wasn't much cop, perhaps because you find in Dublin pretty much the same shops you find everywhere else. I was hoping that it may have more unusual shops and markets, being the capital city. The main shopping streets are O'Connell Street, which reminds me of Oxford Road in London, but not quite so long, and there are lots of smaller street running off it with the usual stores, and then on the other side fo the Liffey is Grafton street, which is more condensed ... Now I'm not the world's most enthusiastic shopper by any means (except for shopping for CD's!) but I thought I'd try my hand at a review of shopping in Dublin and hopefully you'll find it helpful, as helpful as a written description of a shopping area can be anyway =) Ok, well the main shopping areas in the city centre are Grafton Street and the area around Henry Street and O'Connell Street, all within walking distance of eachother and any good city map will have them clearly marked. If you're visiting from the UK you will recognise all the stores in both areas. All the well known clothes chains, record shops and Body ... Read the complete review

One of the most exciting, stimulating, never sleeping cities I have ever been to. It makes you feel alive and wanting to push the whole world in front of you. If it's shopping you're after it's one of the best. The Temple district has hotels of all prices great eating places and brilliant night life even if it's only a quiet drink you're looking. Saunter down the small streets where you will find unusual and fascinating shops aplenty. Head to the Westbury Mall and you can locate anything you need or think you might need but you really don't.Then go outside and go into the Westbury hotel for the nicest afternoon tea ever experienced. I love ... Read the complete review
