Elgin is not a big place, in comparison to some of the towns down south. It lies about 70 miles north west of Aberdeen and 40 miles east of Inverness. Some parts of the now mostly pedestrianised town are quite old, such as Thunderton House, a pub, which was around in the days of Bonnie Prince Charlie. There is quite a bit of history in the area. Apart from Boots, Next, Adams, WH Smith, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Superdrug, Argos and Woolworths, I can't think of any other well known shops in the area.
