Glasgow has of recent times had many areas undergo huge improvements including many of the shopping areas which have made the experience a lot more enjoyable and relaxing. The main areas for shopping in Glasgow are Sauchiehall Street, Buchanan Street and Argyll Street and I normally get the train to Glasgow Charing Cross station and proced to walk from here and along these streets in the order shown. The shops on offer on these streets range in prices and products with just some of the shops shown in the following list: Hawkins Bazaar, HMV, Game, Gamestation, Primark, JJB Sports, Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile, Dunnes Stores, Argos, Marks and Spencer, Ann ... I think that Glasgow is the best place for shopping outside of London! In fact I like it better than London because you get all of the great shops without the massive crowds, tourists and confusion. Amongst all the regular high street shops in the centre of town you will find some of the other famous names usually only found in big cities such as Urban Outfitters and American Apparel. However, if you can't be bothered with town, why not try the West End, where you will find a host of boutique shops selling everything from books and CD's to clothes and make-up. These shops are often hidden, so if you have difficulty finding anywhere, just ask ... Read the complete review

If there is one thing that I really enjoy doing, it is shopping. Whether I am actually buying, or just window shopping, I love to see what is new and what is in the sales. The nearest major shopping centre from where I live, is Glasgow. It doesn't matter what I am looking for, I can usually find it, when I shop in Glasgow. The main bus station in Glasgow is in Buchanan Street and this is where you will find the newest shopping centre. For obvious reasons it is called Buchanan Galleries. Buchanan Galleries is on two levels and there is a huge car park attached to it. This shopping centre is easily accessed by car, from the M8 in both ... Read the complete review

================================== Braehead Shopping Centre and Retail Park ================================== I live about 20 miles or so from this huge indoor shopping centre. I done most of my Christmas shopping here and it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Braehead first opened its doors to the public in 1999. It also cost approximately £285 million to build! It is the largest privately funded waterside regeneration project in the country! There is over 1 million square feet of shopping and leisure facilities and there are more plans for the near future to build over 2000 new homes, a riverside park, new offices, and ... I?ve lived on the outskirts of Glasgow for all of my twenty years and for the last few years have been in the city centre for an average of around 3 or 4 days a week when I?m at uni. First things first, the shopping areas in Glasgow are huge and I doubt if I can recall and mention them all so my apologies if I miss anything out and also I apologise if I inadvertently offend or insult anyone. I will start our whistle stop tour where most people will begin their visit, Buchanan Bus Station. This provides many links to several areas in Scotland and also various other places in the UK. While I?m on the subject of travel, there are also very good rail links to the ... Read the complete review
