Inverness does have a lot of shops but mainly small shops, even the chains are a lot smaller than other cities but good enough for what you need. There is the Eastgate Centre which had a new part opened in 2003, this made the Eastgate a lot lot bigger with a lot more shops as well as a food court. As well as the Eastgate you can also shop in the Victorian Market with loads of smaller shops for souvenirs and other bits and pieces.
