Advantages: Diverse, something for everyone

Disadvantages: Still not as good as Manchester/London

There are several shopping areas in Liverpool city centre, and the shoppig experience has improved dramatically over the last few years.

Liverpool One, the recently opened outdoor shopping mall contains a great mix of high street shops and restaurant chains such as Waggamammas, Yo Sushi, GBK, Nandos, Pizza hut, Cafe Rouge, Bar burritos etc, there is also a large odeon. Shops include a large John Lewis complete with 2 cafes, Debenhams, Zara, Mango, Gap, All Saints, American Apparell, Urban Outfitters etc

The Met Quarter is not far, an indoor smaller mall containing a couple of nice shoe shops, along with Gieves and Hawkes, Armarni exchange, Hobbs etc

For WAG heaven, head to the Cavern Walks and surrounding streets which include Cricket (a WAG faveourite) and Vivienne Westwood among others.

Lord street is where you'll find a large M&S and shops such as H&M, River Island and Primark.

Anybody looking for a more alternative find should head to Bold street and Renshaw street area where you will find lots of independent stores and a good selection of vintage shops.

Liverpool's famous T J Hughes discount store is on London road - a little out of the way but not far from Lime street station.

Summary: Much improved!
