Shopping Areas in London in generalNewest Review: ... stores are of a good size, and you can find pretty much anything that you are looking for, be it clothes, toiletries, household items, technology, music and film. Located nearby, towards Baker St, is a quaint little street called Marylebone High Street. It is fairly hidden away so best to check a map. Here there are more original shops, which are pleasant to browse or perhaps pick up a more ... more |

Having lived in London all my lifetime, I have had plenty of shopping trips to various locations. London is filled with amazing, hidden places that are each worth a visit in their own right. Many people may also not know that it is possible to walk to a great deal of these in a day as they are not too far away from each other. Save yourself the bus or tube journey, especially in peak times! I will start from one of the more known areas, Oxford Street, which is centrally located. Here you will find the typical high street stores, such as HMV, H+M, Boots, River Island etc. There are also several department stores, such as the well known Selfridges, ... Read the complete review

Since I live in London I get more and more addicted to shopping with every new day I spend in this city. There are lots of new places that need to be discovered and even the good old Oxford Street is always worth a look. I created a list with the most exciting shopping places in London. Believe my choice - I am a shopping addict and know where I get my stuff from. 1) Oxford Street - it's a classic. Even if it's full of tourists and packed on the weekends; you can find everything on this street. On Oxford Circus are most of the big flagship stores such as NIKE, TopShop and Mamas&Papas. Worth a watch during Christmas time, the lights are ... Read the complete review

Whilst many people are attracted to the bright lights of London's West End, there are many areas where the same things can be found at cheaper prices, with Oxford Street becoming more and more like any other high street, there are fewer and fewer reasons to make the extra journey. Outer centres such as Croydon and Bromley to the South have a vast array of shops with excellent parking facilities, air conditioned shopping centres, and all the main chains of shops, in large scale format, with the added bonus that they are much closer together giving your feet a rest. Now if Bond street is your place, then there really is no other alternative, but why not try out ... Read the complete review

London's choice and diversity when it comes to shopping is unrivalled anywhere else in Britain. This is mind, I've put together a brief guide to some of the best places worth checking out in London, though there's so many different areas it's virtually impossible to include everywhere in Central London. But here's a few... > OXFORD STREET > Nearest tube stations: Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus, Bond Street, Marble Arch. (Zone 1) The natural first port of call for most London shoppers, though there's little here to set it apart from your typical High Street. It's 99% chainstores, though the shops are all massive. ... As someone who has lived in London all their life, I thought I'd write a quick guide to some of the shopping areas. As I'm from Shepherds Bush, it will be rather concentrated on the West and Central areas, so apologies in advance. This is intended for people who don't really shop in London a lot, to go into great detail would require a novel. SOHO - Obviously good for your top shelf stuff, but also has a lot of music shops, especially if your looking for records. Eds Dinner do super cheesy chips. Also good for gadgetry, lots of imaginative lighting etc. OXFORD STREET - Not a lot that you wouldn't find in a normal high street, just ... Read the complete review
