Shopping Areas in Milton KeynesNewest Review: ... way and down the other. There has now been a new square added on one end (Midsummer Place) but it is still very easy to find your way around. The centre is all on one level which I really like as I always feel I am missing something in multilevel shopping malls. I do not like using lifts so the one level was brilliant when my children were still in a pushchair as I didn't have to worry. A ... more |

Unlike a lot of women I am not that keen on shopping. I like to go every now and again and have a really good shop; I do not like popping to the shops every week like a lot of my friends. For this reason when I do decide a serious dose of retail therapy is required I like to go somewhere where I will have lots of choice and that I can be pretty sure will yield everything I need. I actually live between Oxford and Aylesbury, I rarely shop in Oxford as I have to use a bus because of extortionate parking and it is always too busy. Aylesbury is ok but the selection of shops is small. This means when I need a substantial shopping centre I hop in my car and drive an hour ... Read the complete review

Shopping in Milton Keynes I must admit that I love to indulge in just about every girls' favourite pastime, shopping, and when I want to shop well I generally go to Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes is a large town in Buckinghamshire, in the south east of England, about 60 miles (97 km) north-west of London. The main shopping centre in Milton Keynes is called thecentre:mk and their website can be found at http://www.thecentremk.com/. It's an indoor centre with a variety of different department stores, shops, restaurants and cafés. According to an article I read, work began on the building in 1973 and it was officially opened on 25 September 1979 by ... Read the complete review

I'm a resident of MK and as such, Milton Keynes Shopping Centre is something that I have kind of always taken for granted. It's a 10 minute drive away for me, and although I don't go there every week or anything, I do make a reasonable number of trips there each year, and I spent my youth hanging out there on weekends too. CMK shopping centre - as its known to the locals, OR The Centre MK - as it's known to the rest of the country is divided into two sections. The main 'centre mk' part is the older part of the two and is a half mile long indoor complex. It's all on one level and it works a bit like a ladder - two long straight bits with joining corridors ... Read the complete review

After London Milton Keynes is the main place that I do my clothes shopping with the occasional trip to Birmingham thrown in for good measure. While London has more individuality in its choice of shopping locations with lots of one off boutiques and diferent areas offerring different options Milton Keynes is far more main stream in the range of shop on offer but it is a lot closer than London for me and so is more convenient especially if I'm not actually working in London. The main shopping centre in Milton Keynes is a covered centre that is located about a ten minute walk frim the train station and is surrounded by car parking. Do watch out for which zone you ... Like almost any normal, healthy young female, I was looking forward to the chance to do some shopping during a trip to Milton Keynes at the very start of this year. I had with me a native of the area who I assumed would be some help with this, but that’s where I was wrong. You see, he was a he, and being the type of he that he is, although he knew where the electrical and sports shops were, he knew not where anything I needed was. (BTW, anyone think I deserve a prize for getting all those “he”s in one sentence???) Anyway, on with the op. We went to The Centre in Milton Keynes which is a huge half mile long shopping complex, offering a mixture of high ... Read the complete review
