Shopping Areas in Norwich in generalNewest Review: ... has another shopping centre close by known as Chapelfield but more on that later. It’s also probably down to the fact that there are massive rents for anyone wishing to have an outlet in the place. So if you’re looking for a wide and diverse range of things then the Mall is not the best place to go. Chapelfield has been open for just over a year and again houses a lot of chain stores, sadly ... more |

Norwich and East Anglia in general can be perceived from the outside as a little too laid back and perhaps detached from modern society. Well the truth is that everywhere you look now there is re-development occurring. In recent years Norwich has seen a massive change in it’s shopping districts. We used to have the city centre and a few out of town industrial areas to cater for the shoppers. But now there is probably too much choice in the city. It all started with the Castle Mall, a massive undertaking that saw the ground around the historic castle burrowed out. I can remember years back going into the city and seeing the deep pits, it’s hard to imagine that ... Read the complete review

You could spend hours walking around Norwich, and still miss out on some of the treats! I am not originally from Norwich, and it is only thanks to my boyfriend that I have had the opportunity for a great shopping treat. There are so many areas within Norwich City centre that I am not sure where to start. I think the best place is the market. A permanent fixture, it is like an undercover maze. There are stalls selling everything from fruit and veg, through to towels and then onto fresh meat and poultry. Pretty much the same as most markets I know, but when you reach the centre of the market you will smell the difference. All sorts of wonderful ... Read the complete review
