Paisley has over the past couple has years lost a lot of its shops due to the fact that Braehead shopping Centre has opened and is easy access for people going shopping. Paisley today has a shopping centre and a piazza centre. The Piazza Centre is a shopping centre which has shops such as Poundland, New Looks, Somerfield, Card and Gift shops, Semi Chem to name a few. There is a post office in this centre which is open 9 til 5 monday to saturday. There is carpark access in this shopping centre as well. Paisley....Scotlands largest town... Indeed you would think a town that boasts this title would at least have good options when it comes to shopping,or at the very least you woud be able to get free parking right? Depends on what you are looking for to be honest,especially now with Braehead a mere 10 minute bus journey from the town,I fear this will eventually lead to the demise of Paisley town centre as we know it,or indeed knew it in the past. Slowly the retailers seem to be packing up shop(excuse the pun) for one reason or another,be it the lack of free parking facilities or the growing exodus to Braehead by potential customers.It really is a shame ... Paisley, I would say is not quite with the modern world when it comes to Shopping! I am from Paisley and I personally like to go elsewhere, and with the opening of nearby Braehead Shopping centre, Paisley Town Centre has became dead, and lost a lot of trade. Paisley has a few options for shoopers. The Paisley Centre, is a Shopping centre on 3 levels. It inclides big names such as Marks and Spencer, Littlewoods, McDonalds, Clinton Cards adn Sports Connection but many more. This Paisley centre also has two cafes adn good public facilities.
