Truro is my home town and I'd never move, especially now that the shopping areas are much improved! Truro is Cornwall's Administration centre, and a friendlier city you'd be hard pushed to find. All the major stores you are looking for are here, such as Marks and Spencer,Laura Ashley etc. and a large Lakeland shop which is great to browse around.
