Advantages: lots of shops

Disadvantages: pay for parking

I have been to Warrington many times shopping and over the years it has gone from having a small shopping centre in the middle of town to a huge shopping complex. Recently Warringtons Golden Square shopping centre has introduced shops such as H&M, Debenhams, Jane Norman, Zara and many others! It has also introduced a number of new food chains so there are now plenty of places to eat! It is very similar to Manchesters Arndale centre except it is only over one level and the Arndale is over two. There are also a number of retail parks in Warrington. Alban Retail park has a Holiday Hypermarket, a PC World, Currys, Hobbycraft, Mothercase and some carpet shops etc along with a KFC and a Pizza Hut. Riverside Retail park has a Sainsburys Homebase, Borders, Next, Laura Ashley. Gemini Retail Park has a Toys R Us, Next, Marks and Spencers, Ikea and many more! They are all within I would say a 5-10 minute drive of each other so there are plenty of places to shop in Warrington! It has very easy access off the M6 and M62 so you will find it very easily!

Summary: visit if you want somewhere quieter than Manchester but the same shops!
