Shopping Areas in York

If you want to visit some really quaint and unusual small shops then you must go to The Shambles in the City of York. This is a whole collection of wonderful shops based around one long, very narrow street. It is more than just a shopping area, it is a very popular tourist attraction. In this area there are craft and gift shops, together with specialist clothing shops and a whole collection of different places to eat and drink with food from all around the world. We found a wonderful little coffee shop and were spoilt with delicious chocolate cake.
