Size Up or Yours - I still love it! (SizeUp)

Advantages: price, quality, friendly staff

Disadvantages: pink hands, spend too much!

In the last few years "Size Up" has been renamed "Yours" - I think partly to lose some of the stigma attached to a shop called Size Up. However in my house it is variously called "The Fat Shop" "The Fat Bird Shop" and "Evans does discount" (Ok I might have made up the last one!)

Your/Size Up is a shop designed for larger ladies, catering for sizes 14 (I don't know when a 14 became a plus size) to 32. And for once the clothes they have on offer are not the frumpy stuff you used to see, stuff that your mum wouldn't be seen dead in. They are funky, and flattering and well made. Cheaper than Evans in general they really do have some fantastic things.

Unlike Evans they don't sell shoes, but they do cover pretty much everything else - from jewellery to undies. Nine times out of ten when I go in there I walk out with something new and my credit card slightly warmer!

A downside - the plastic bags. The small problem I have with them is that they turn my hands pink. Because the shop colours are pink the bags are printed with this fuschia colour - but it comes off on your hands, this is not an attractive look!

The shop I visit in Norwich is great, and the lovely ladies in there are definately in what one would describe as the plus size range! In fact I have seen them suggest to someone they may not really be right for them, they prefer the staff to shop in there too as they know what they are talking about!

The sales are often excellent in Yours too, with real reductions.
A great little shop for us larger ladies to indulge!

Summary: A great shop that understands fat can equal funky!
