Advantages: Handy,

Disadvantages: Not enough choice. Can be pricey.

I live very close to a Somerfields in Liverpool. It was a store that was opened in the 1980's and is a great convenient store to pop into if you have forgotten anything from the Supermarket. I hear you say 'but Somerfield is a Supermarket?' And you would be correct but in my opinion these stores aren't big enough to compete with other Supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda etc.

In my store it is very scruffy. To be honest it doesn't look as if it has been updated since it first opened. The prices are a lot dearer, in my opinion, than the likes of the other main competitors. They close at 8pm during the week in a location that is crying out for late night opening.

I'd love them to be more competitive on prices and open the store later. If any Somerfield directors are reading this I really think some of your stores need a lick of paint. Sorry Somerfields you are only getting a rating of 2.
