SpoilsNewest Review: ... in periodically. You have to keep looking in to get the best deals. There are some excellent savings if you use your eyes! I bought two Indian cotton throws for just £4 each. One turned out big enough for my sofa and the other covers an armchair (there were no sizes on them). This is quite a big saving and the only thing wrong with them was that one had a knot in the weaving. So you can find bargains here but be careful as I have had a couple of disasters. One was a vase that wasn't water tight and the other a mug that hadn't been glazed inside. Happy hunting! ... more |

Spoils sells seconds of all manner of goods. It is mostly household stuff like crockery, furniture, soft furnishings, etc, but does get other items in periodically. Spoils had a "temporary site" in the main shopping centre at Milton Keynes. It was a large, airy, corner site, and the shop always seemed busy when I passed. The items for sale seemed of a fairly high quality, although there were the dubious plasticy things (like a corn on the cob shaped potato peeler I took a fancy to and which never worked properly!!) but on the whole items that wouldn't look out of place in the average home. The boasted a hugh range of frames, but they seemed terribly expensive to me. Photo frames, picture frames and even framed pictures were an extortionate price and although I did look at them regularly I could ... Read the complete review

I use two Spoils stores; St Johns Centre and The White Rose Centre, both in Leeds and whenever I go in, I always come out with armfuls. Their products are funky, modern, inexpensive, really stylish - in a down to earth sort of way. This shop is great for kitting out your kitchen if you are just starting out, furnishing your lounge or conservatory, or just updating and adding a dash of style to your existing decor. At the moment, they have lots of gorgeous Feng Shui inspired styles of both furniture and accessories and seeing as my ... Read the complete review

I remember when both my brothers and I went to college Spoils was the place to go to get good value kitchen stuff to stock your flat. Well I havent been for years and needed to replace a few kitchen items that we were given as wedding presents but had finally given up the ghost. What a disappointment. A lot of the stuff I had expected to be there was there, but comparatively it didnt seem any cheaper than anywhere else. It such a shame as you used to be able to get some great stuff for not much money and now you cant. I did eventually buy a baking tray from there and having used it a couple fo times, it has hardly lasted at all. Not a ... Read the complete review

This started out as a knock-down price furniture and homeware shop, but now seems to have turned into a place to sell as much tat as possible, no matter what it is. They do actually have some nice stuff if you can be bothered to pick through all thre plastic pig keyrings and overpriced bags of shells, inflatable breast aprons and so on... I really liked a couple of their sofa beds - really sturdy metal frames (in silver or black) and with modern style coverings. They're really huge, comfortable to sit on and pull out easily to a double bed size. At £130-ish I don't think that's bad, they look like they'd last a long time too. ... Read the complete review
